Additional Information

Ballet is the most important genre that is taught here! Ballet classes will address the fundamentals of Ballet Technique & Vocabulary. The class format will consist of warm-up, Barre, Centre Floor (Adagio’s and Petit & Grand Allegro), Across the Floor, & Reverence. The theoretical component will include learning & memorizing Ballet Vocabulary and Ballet Origin. The dancer will also focus on Alignment, Turn-out, Developing & Progressing in their ballet lines, Coordination, and Rhythm. The goal is not only for the absolute best results, but to work hard & smart without a restrictive heart.

Objective:

· Promote knowledge and use of dance terminology

· Promote knowledge of the use of lines through the body, arms, head, and hands

· Promote gracefulness

Although Ballet is our greatest foundation, we also offer detailed training in Tap, Jazz, and Modern Dance.

Creative Movement Ballet/Tap Combo is offered for ages 3-4 years old. There is a curriculum & syllabus in place to offer the foundation of rhythm, coordination, and learning how to work with groups. As classes progress, classes will become more structured in basic terminology.

Weekly Schedule

Creative Movement Class II (3-4 Years Old)

Ballet/Tap Combo Saturday 9:00a-10:00am

Dancers must be 3 Years old at the start of the season or turn 3 years old by October 1st (NO EXCEPTIONS). The dancer must be FULLY POTTY TRAINED and must be comfortable with being left with their dance teacher and their friends as classes are closed to maintain structure and order.

Creative Movement Class (3-4 Years Old)

Ballet/Tap Combo I Saturday 10:00am-11:00am

Petite (5-7 Years Old)

Dancers must be 5 Years old at the start of the season or turn 5 years old by October 1st.

Tap Monday 4pm-5pm

Ballet Monday 5pm -6pm (FULL)

Tumbling Tuesday 5pm-6pm (FULL)

Jazz Thursday 4pm-5pm

Primary (8-11 Years Old)

Dancers must be 8 Years old at the start of the season or turn 8 years old by October 1st.

Junior (12-15 Years Old)

Dancers must be 12 Years old at the start of the season or turn 12 years old by October 1st.
