The health and safety of our students is a top priority at In the Key of Dance.
Participation in dance classes, rehearsals, performances, workshops, and studio activities involves physical activity and carries inherent risks, including but not limited to injury, illness, or accident. By enrolling, families acknowledge these risks and voluntarily assume responsibility for participation.
Parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring that their child is physically and mentally able to participate in dance activities. Any medical, physical, behavioral, emotional, developmental, or health conditions that may affect participation must be disclosed to the studio and updated as needed.
First aid kits are maintained on-site and available to staff at all times. In the event of a minor injury, appropriate first aid may be administered.
Students with known allergies, asthma, diabetes, anaphylaxis, or other medical conditions requiring special care must provide the necessary medications, emergency action plans, and instructions prior to participation. Students at risk of anaphylaxis must provide a clearly labeled EpiPen and current medical management plan.
In the event of an illness, injury, or medical emergency, parents/guardians authorize In the Key of Dance, its owners, staff, instructors, and representatives to seek appropriate emergency medical treatment when necessary. Parents/guardians are responsible for all costs associated with medical treatment, transportation, or emergency services.
All injuries and incidents will be documented, and parents/guardians will be contacted using the emergency information on file. Families are responsible for ensuring all emergency contact information remains current.
While reasonable precautions are taken to promote a safe environment, In the Key of Dance cannot guarantee a nut-free facility or eliminate all risks associated with participation in dance activities.
The Studio reserves the right to request additional medical documentation when necessary to safely accommodate a student's participation.
